My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

David is back in his room

David has been sleeping in his own room again the past 3 nights. We were so glad about it that we almost celebrated it with champagne. I think it had been almost a month that his room was under quarantine. After the exterminator fumigated the room twice, we took out all his books, seal them up, and washed all the beddings and clothings. We pretty much emptied his room entirely, except the bed and the empty bookcase. I wiped down all the walls with Clorox. I used the Swiffer dry and wet mop for the room over and over again to get the live/dead bird mites out. It was a lot of work and we are very glad that it's done. We had to throw out stuff that we couldn't really clean. David's room is officially sterile, the cleanest room in the house!

We learned a very important lesson from this, which is prevention. James and I were joking the other day that we'll be ready next year when the birds start to nest, we'll make sure to shoot any that would come near the house with a BB gun. But yeah, it's important to spray insecticide around the house, seal up any holes and be aware of any potential pests.

As you can guess, it has been a lot of work around the house. The kids are as active as they can be. I could never clear up the living room because they play there and spread their toys again and again. I wish to take them out more and yet I don't know where to go besides the parks, library, or shopping. Either way, it's very tough because Elizabeth is at the stage where she loves to roam around.

I've been having trouble with online shopping lately. Bad luck. I ordered some NBA champion items from Amazon.com (seller: Champs Sport) and Lakerstore.com. They are both giving me problems. I don't think I ever had any trouble before shopping online. If it wasn't for the gifts for Uncle Sunny, I would have cancelled everything. So if you have a choice, stay away from Champs Sport or the Lakers store.
