My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

After the long wait...

After waiting for over a week, the exterminator finally came yesterday. And he confirmed that the tiny bugs were bird mites! Quickly after that, he fumed the room, sealed it up and removed the empty bird nest outside. We had to wait for 5 hours before we could air out the room. Just for a precaution, I took the kids out for a bit, instead of letting them breath in any fume that might have leaked out, although the exterminator assured us that it was perfectly fine to stay at home. Well, I am just glad that it's taken cared of. I've been doing a lot of research online before he came and I came to the conclusion that they are bird mites, by comparing bug pictures and the bite marks on Elizabeth's body. I hope getting rid of the mites entirely after fuming the room once isn't a wishful thinking. I'm anticipating a lot of laundry washing and vacuuming and mopping for awhile. O my.

Watching Elizabeth lately has been quite impossible. We cannot contain her in a closed area anymore. She figured out how to get her way out. She even found out how to open the gate. Poor David, he got scolded and timed out by mistake because I thought he was doing mischief by letting Liz out. So yeah, she is a handful. She digs through my kitchenware, drawers, cabinets, etc. Then, she would run away with her loots. She still doesn't like to drink cow's milk. So there isn't much of a breakfast for her. She'll cry her way to early lunch in the morning. She is a rice girl and David is a fish boy.
