My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

May is flying by

I can't believe this month is almost gone. It has been quite hectic around here lately. I don't know if I should be happy or worried now that I weigh barely 100 lbs again. What can I do, it has been stressful and tiring.

A lot of things is going on at home. It hasn't been very peaceful. Yesterday, we were chained up at home waiting for the maintenance person to come and replace the old A/C in David's room. That old motor is awfully loud and to our horror, we found tiny, tiny mites crawling into the room. They are all over the bed and wall. Man, they freaked us out. I complained and thus, they came promptly to replace it. The room is currently sealed up until the exterminator comes later today. To look at the bright side, this is an experience for us before owning a house, which everything will be eventually taken care by ourselves. Sigh, it still is a nuisance.

Liz is healing well. We went to a follow-up visit this morning and the doctor declared that she can take a bath now. Well, I have been sponge bathing her the past week. So, she's not smelling so bad. But then, another source of worries came to our minds. She has been getting bug bite marks on her body and face since Sunday. I am so worried if they came from the mites. I showed them to the surgeon and he said it couldn't be a reaction to the anesthesia. And he cautioned me to watch out for chicken pox. I really hope that they'll just go away soon. Sigh*

Speaking of the brighter subjects, Liz has been very active. She gives me a lot of workout chasing after her and picking her up from danger zone all the time. She eats well as in, she can sit on the high chair and munch for a long time although she doesn't eat very much (in quantity). She learns very quickly from David, especially the forbidden things. And she does them very happily, knowing that we'll show disapproval and give strong reaction. David and Liz get along most of the time though they still fight on occasions.
