I am so glad that we made the trip to visit Elisa and her family in Vancouver last week. One week was very short but we had a great time. The weather was unusually gorgeous for the time of the year. I tried to convince Elisa to plan a light week for us, considering there were only Elisa and I to handle 4 kids during the weekdays, I didn't think it would be fun to do anything strenuous or go anywhere very far. So, we went by a very flexible schedule but still try to take advantage of the nice, warm weather by going outdoor.
I was very happy to finally meet my two beautiful nieces. It was a pleasure to get to know them and be part of their routine. David, Liz, Viola and Adelia played very well together for the first 2 days. Then, when they warmed up with each other, they started to argue, and eventually, fight. *sigh* It was very stressful for us, the parents, when they did fight. We had to distract them, reprimanded them, gave them time-outs... anything to bring peace and to get the point across: no fighting, share and take turns!
I also had the pleasure to meet Serene and her boys, Lucas and Linus, Caroline and Jack. They are very nice people and handsome kids. I'm happy for Elisa for knowing such nice and friendly families and living in a beautiful city.
It didn't seem like I took a lot of photos but it did take me awhile to go through them! I miss everyone more and more as I look at the pictures. Thank you again Desmon and Elisa for taking care of us and showing us around! Hopefully one day you guys can visit New York.
