My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

Our Short Trip to Rochester

I finally got tired of staying home (while James studied) and dragged everyone out for a short trip. So we decided to go to Rochester again. I wanted to let the kids play at the Strong Museum. David had been there before, so this was the first time for Liz. They were pretty good in the car. Liz slept on the way there and back, while David was just sleepy, quite unwilling to leave his toys and the TV behind. We got there in time for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was better this time and Liz ate a lot. She eats very well whenever we go out. She got plenty of distraction while I fed here. She finished the porridge I brought along. Then she ate the complimentary bread and banana (for the kids). Then she cried for my pasta. So yeah, she was pretty full. David barely ate his food. He was too excited to be there.

After lunch we headed to the Strong Museum. It wasn't as crowded as last time. But still, we had to park very far away. The kids just loved that place. David was as wild as before. He just took off on his own and we had to frantically look for him and get him back. Liz refused to sit on the stroller. So James and I had to take turn to hold her. It was a back breaking business! We all had fun nevertheless. We were wiser this time around and stayed for just 2.5 hours as opposed to 4 hours last time. That place was fun but also very overwhelming for us, the adults!

Rochester is about 1 hour drive from our place. It's a larger city compared to Syracuse. It got more stores and restaurants too. :)
