My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

Winter is here

Yep, the long, cold, depressing Winter is here again. It seems like this year the snow comes in early. It's already snowing today. It's not cold enough for the snow to pile up yet but it sure is exciting. Just wait till I have to go out with the kids, then it won't be too much fun. :) I remember earlier this year in February I had to drive my mom to the Syracuse airport from Ithaca (Elizabeth was still in my tummy then), on our way back, it was snowing so much that I could not see anything! I had to stop by the church for a few hours until the snow stopped. It was quite scary.

David has been very good lately. I guess it's good to be home again. He feels more relaxed and settled down. He is still quite possessive with his toys. He would choose the toys that he wants Elizabeth to play with instead of us picking one. Sometimes I don't understand him, because he would give her his favorite toys (little cars), rather than the baby toys. I have to explain to him that Elizabeth would chew off the car tires and therefore ruin the cars, hopefully he won't give it to her anymore. :) David is getting better in conversing now. He can get quite polite too. He would say, "Xie xie, mama" whenever I help him with something. It melts my heart!

Elizabeth just got her 6-month shot a few days ago. She is not gaining much weight, which really worries me. She's barely 16 lbs right now. I really hope she'll get chubbier. I don't know if she is getting enough to eat. I was sick twice last month that my milk supply was pretty low. I tried feeding her formula but she really hates it. We started feeding her cereal but it's going slow. I guess I have to be persistent and yet patient with her. Other than that, she is good. She doesn't like being on her own, always wants to be held. If you don't let her have her way or the things she wants, she would GRUNT! haha, it is really funny, because sometimes it sounds like a dog is growling.

I got tired of rooming with Elizabeth because she is a light sleeper. And then, our room is right next to the bathroom. Whenever someone is using the bathroom, she would wake up. So we decided to clear up the office room and make it her room. I'm so glad we did it. She sleeps so much better and we do too. I'm so tempted to decorate her room.. but I guess I shouldn't since we might move again, I don't want to accumulate more stuff!

    Liz is so pretty!
I so have a question: do you have a double stroller then? Any recommendation? ^_^

We didn't get a double stroller since David would rather walk now. Plus, we stay home more than we go out haha.
