We went to the Strong National Museum of Play this past Saturday. It was all the way up in Rochester. We had to drive 2 hours there, originally to look at a dental practice that was on sale. Then we had a fairly good lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. The best part of that was of course the Tiramisu cheesecake. I think I haven't been there in awhile. I was very surprised by the cost of one slice of cheesecake. Over 7 bucks... geez.
The weather was great, although it was in the 20s. David was in a good mood all morning. He got tired in the afternoon but he held on pretty well in the museum because there was just so much to do. When James said that we would be visiting a museum, I was not so excited. You know, museum is usually a bit boring and there's a lot of walking involved! I never knew a museum could be so much fun for kids. The Strong museum was pretty much a giant play house! It was big and full of toys and interesting stuff. David was so excited and busy running around. At one point, we lost him because he ran off so fast.
It was a great a workout following him around. We ended up spending 2 hours there. It was very chaotic because of all the happy kids. We were very tired by the end of the day.
so cute!
