The Boldt Castle at theThousand Islands

We went to the Thousand Islands last Friday since David's grandma was here with us. It was a nice day for a long trip. We had to drive for about 2.5 hours to go up to Watertown. I was sitting in the back with David to keep him distracted and busy along the way. No toy really worked for more than 2 minutes. Good thing we brought the tripod with us. It lasted the longest. David was very busy playing with it, trying to turn all the knobs and extend the legs.

So, we got on this Uncle Sam's boat tour. It was a 3 hour tour, going around the lake, introducing the different islands on both the U.S. side and the Canada side. It was nice. And at last, we got off on the Heart Island and visited the Boldt Castle.

Man, after learning the history of the castle, I was like... gosh, it is so romantic! That island was owned by a millionaire, George C. Boldt,
and the castle was built back in the 1900s for his wife! (the history) After that I was nagging James (playfully) that I want an island of heart shape with a castle on it! haha cool stuff.
