Elizabeth was barely 5 months old and she already started to doodle! She had her eyes on that toy for a while already I guess, finally she got to try it. It's one of David's favorite toys by the way.
I'm so tired and overwhelmed lately that I decided to try the dishwasher for the first time. I had never used one believe it or not. I guess it helped, I got to rest a bit last night. I can't wait to go to LA. I need the break more than ever seems like. I promise myself that I will do nothing strenuous!
David has been good and wild as usual. When he needs the attention, he would do anything to get it, like running like a mad thing around and around the house, screaming, hurting himself, bugging Elizabeth. So yeah, terrible two. He is making good progress with words though. He is saying more Korean. He actually can say grandma and grandpa in Korean now. He has a sense of humor too. He pointed at my butt one night and said, "Mama, pang, pang!" with a grin. He said my butt is fat! I was shocked... and I found no words to say except... "NO, I'm NOT!" We ended up laughing. He knows how to lie too. One time he was sitting right next to James and someone farted. So I asked in Chinese, who farted. Since James didn't know what I was saying, David answered me. He said, "Papa!". Just to confirm, I asked James if he farted... he said, "No". I was like.. "David, you lied to me!" He just smiled slyly. Sigh*
Elizabeth is getting bigger. She makes me want to be an ENT doctor. Because she would often keep me up at night with her stuffy nose. Sometimes I just don't know what to do besides using more saline and then suction. I think Elizabeth has a stronger personality compared to David. Just imagining when she's older gives me a headache. One time, I was eating yogurt with her on my lap facing me. Being jealous, David came squeezing in. He wanted to eat too. As I was feeding him, Liz decided that she wanted to hold on to the yogurt. When I put it away from her, she was trying so hard to reach for it and yell to complain. To the point that I had to get James to take one from me.
Sigh... tiring.
I finally made time and organized David's bedroom. It took me awhile, my bad. But I'm glad I did, it looks so much better now. David is happy that the boxes are gone!
I was taking pictures of the room yesterday and David was so excited that he posed for me. He was all over the room, telling me to take a shot here and there. It was just so funny.
Yesterday, David came up to us with his doddle pad and said, "Jing, Jing!" which is his short cut for "yen jing" (glasses). We both got so excited and took a picture of it. He did a pretty good job drawing a pair of glasses. We were impressed because up to then, he was just doddling random lines and sometimes he could draw fish.
After months of reading the 'Parenting' magazine, I never thought that I would have my own baby blopper stories to tell. Kids are just so funny!
So yesterday, I was at home during the day with the kids as usual. I've been trying to get David to go to the library with me the past 3 days and to my surprise he refused, which is very odd because he loves going out. So yeah, we ended up staying home too yesterday. I had Elizabeth on the swing so I could prepare lunch. She was good for awhile waiting for me. But when I was eating, she got tired to sitting on her own even though David was keeping her company (or more like bugging her/messing with her swing). David turned off the swing and Liz was complaining. So I told David, "yao yao, mei mei yi xia" (go shake/rock little sister for a bit). You know what he did? He went and stuck his finger into her mouth. I'm like... "what are you doing?!" Then I was thinking for a bit.. and started laughing. He thought I told him to let Liz bite him for a bit. Yao as in bite, instead of rocking! Well, I'm glad he didn't bite her instead.

Here is little Elizabeth getting bigger each day. She finally sleeps through the night again (for the past 4 nights), which is a big relief for me. Liz is usually very good when we go out. Everyone is like, "Oh, she is so calm and quiet!" and I would go, "Wait till she gets home!". She screams a lot. I can't wait till we have to fly back to LA. I hope she'll be good all the way. She is quite an angel too. She smiles a lot when we play with her.
Guess what? David and Elizabeth are starting to fight already. David likes to bug her, hugging her, kissing her, touching her face, rubbing his big head on her tummy and lately he is just getting a bit rough on her. She does not like it and she makes sure she gets the message across. She screams at him, frown and pushing and kicking. Sometimes she starts screaming before he even gets closer. Liz is not the only innocent one though. She can be bad too. Whenever she sees David holds on to a toy or food or his bottle, she would really try to get her hands on it. If she's close enough to him, she would just dive towards him. Sigh, wait until she's bigger, there would be no peace at home!
