Elizabeth is sure very different from David, when he was a baby. Elizabeth:
1. is way more vocal/chatty ... she squeals in delight and she yells for attention... she complains even after I pick her up because I don't go to her right away. Sometimes I wonder where the cute, innocent baby cry goes.
2. is a small eater... drinks very little, but more often... she doesn't like the bottle or pacifier, which makes it harder for me
3. has a better neck control... she can hold her up steady when on tummy
4. likes to kick... and her kicks hurt!
5. likes to pull the hair
6. never likes to be swaddled
7. always head butts me
8. never cries when I change her diaper/clothes
9. suckles her fist/fingers very loudly
10. likes the HOT weather
They both have something in common too... they both like to bully the Dad! and they are both so darn CUTE. :)
Elizabeth went in for her second month check up yesterday and she got 4 shots, poor thing! Her weight is now 12 lbs, height 24.25 in., head circumference 15.25 in. So, I guess she is about average size baby girl. She was quite cranky after getting the shots. So we had to grant her more love and extra holding time. She's OK now. The weather is hot and humid, which is perfect for her. She sleeps very well... while I'm sweating like no tomorrow.
Sad to say that we've been living in Ithaca for months and this was the first time we visited the Taughannok Park. It was on the other side of the Cayuga Lake, about 25 minutes drive from home. Whenever we passed by that park, we kept saying that we should visit it some time. And now that we are moving soon, I insisted on going there at least once. It was the July 4th weekend and the park was packed. Lots of people boating and having BBQ, very lively. David was having a good time there, running around, checking out boats, dogs, people. Busy bee. I wish I could go out more with him, but I'm so tired all the time. sigh*
Elizabeth is getting very talkative lately. She goes "Ah goo goo" all the time. I can't imagine when she starts to talk. It'll be a lot of fun. For some reasons, she sleeps very well in the hot and humid weather, while everyone else is complaining about the heat. Nevertheless, I would rather endure the heat and have her sleeping more. She's getting heavier that my back hurts while holding her, and she's barely 12 lbs!!! Gosh, I'm getting old.
