My Lazy Days

Mostly about the Kids and I

Sunlight

Do you know that they sell T-shirts/sweatshirts here saying "ITHACA IS COLD"? I guess it's cold even for people here. So whenever there's sun, it's a NICE day regardless the temperature.

I'm getting bigger and heavier the past month. I'm tired and sleepy all the time. It doesn't help when David is being cranky and clingy. He is so stubborn and refuses to listen to anyone! By the end of the day, I just don't want to reprimand him anymore. Plainly, out of breath.

And, I can't wait to see our second child!

The Strong National Museum of Play

We went to the Strong National Museum of Play this past Saturday. It was all the way up in Rochester. We had to drive 2 hours there, originally to look at a dental practice that was on sale. Then we had a fairly good lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. The best part of that was of course the Tiramisu cheesecake. I think I haven't been there in awhile. I was very surprised by the cost of one slice of cheesecake. Over 7 bucks... geez.

The weather was great, although it was in the 20s. David was in a good mood all morning. He got tired in the afternoon but he held on pretty well in the museum because there was just so much to do. When James said that we would be visiting a museum, I was not so excited. You know, museum is usually a bit boring and there's a lot of walking involved! I never knew a museum could be so much fun for kids. The Strong museum was pretty much a giant play house! It was big and full of toys and interesting stuff. David was so excited and busy running around. At one point, we lost him because he ran off so fast.

It was a great a workout following him around. We ended up spending 2 hours there. It was very chaotic because of all the happy kids. We were very tired by the end of the day.

Happy Birthday, PO PO!!!

Happy Birthday, Mom/Po Po! It's great to be able to celebrate it together this year. We didn't do much, just ate and slept, then ate again. So she said, coming to Ithaca is like staying in a pig farm because she can't lose weight here. ha-ha.

Gong Xi Fa Cai, Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Happy New Year everyone! May this year bring you good health, prosperity and happiness!

Drama Face

We were watching a TVB drama yesterday and there was a scene where the dad and son were having a fight. David didn't really like that part. He was trying to avoid watching it but he was curious about it. So, half closing his eyes and half peeking he watched it. It was a very funny sight.

James has a fellowship exam in Las Vegas this week. So off he went today. It was raining hard, most of the flight were canceled. He was stranded in Chicago for awhile so I hope he found his way to Vegas by now!

At least, David and I won't be alone for the Chinese New Year. David's grandma is here again with us. We don't have much plan yet for the New Year but we'll have a good time nevertheless. I don't expect to go out much in the snowy weather so I guess we'll camp at home and EAT!
